GM Partners with Tesla to Provide Access to 17,800 Superchargers Starting This Month
Sep 18, 2024, 12:26 PM
General Motors has announced a partnership with Tesla to provide access to 17,800 Superchargers through a new adapter. This collaboration, which starts this month, allows GM's electric vehicle customers to use Tesla's extensive charging network, adding to the existing 231,800 EV chargers in North America. The agreement, struck last year between GM CEO Mary Barra and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, aims to boost the adoption of electric vehicles by making charging more accessible. GM will also sell adapters to facilitate the use of Tesla's Supercharger network. Owners of electric cars and pickup trucks made by General Motors will be able to use Tesla’s extensive charging network starting on Wednesday.
