Jul 9, 2024, 12:27 PM
Blockchain startup Rome has emerged from stealth with $9 million in funding, led by Hack VC, HashKey Group, Polygon Ventures, and Portal Ventures. The funds will be used to integrate Solana as an auxiliary network for Ethereum Layer-2 blockchains, aiming to make Layer-2 solutions as fast and decentralized as Solana. This initiative will expand Rome's SVM codebase to deploy modular Solana services on the Ethereum network, enhancing data availability and shared sequencers for Ethereum Layer-2 networks.
