Oscar Piastri secured his second career victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, holding off Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Mercedes' George Russell, who finished second and third respectively. The race was marked by a dramatic collision between Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz in the penultimate lap, which ended their contention for the podium. McLaren's strong performance was further highlighted by Lando Norris finishing fourth after starting from 15th on the grid. McLaren also took the lead in the Constructors' Championship, moving ahead of Red Bull. Max Verstappen finished fifth, while rookies Franco Colapinto and Ollie Bearman scored points, finishing eighth and tenth respectively. Leclerc struggled with tyre issues in the final laps.
