President-elect Donald Trump has appointed actors Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone as Special Ambassadors to Hollywood, California. The trio will serve as Special Envoys to Trump, aiming to revitalize Hollywood and bring back business lost to foreign countries over the past four years. Announcing the appointments, Trump said, "It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California." He added that they will act as his "eyes and ears" to usher in a new "Golden Age of Hollywood," making it "like the United States of America itself."
