Meta's Llama AI Models Near 350M Downloads with 10x Increase, Used by Goldman Sachs and AT&T
Aug 29, 2024, 05:28 PM
Meta's Llama artificial intelligence models have achieved significant growth, nearing 350 million downloads on Hugging Face, marking a tenfold increase compared to the previous year, with over 20 million downloads in the last month alone. This surge in adoption is attributed to Llama's open-source nature, making it increasingly popular among banks and tech companies, including Goldman Sachs and AT&T, for various business functions such as customer service and document review. The usage of Llama models has also more than doubled in token volume across cloud provider partners from May to July. Meta's CEO expressed enthusiasm about the rapid growth and future updates for Llama models.
