The Government of Japan has decided to resume funding for all stalled projects in Sri Lanka, according to a statement by the Japanese envoy. This decision includes the resumption of yen loans and other operations related to ongoing projects. A total of 11 projects in Sri Lanka are set to restart, bringing in $1.1 billion in undisbursed funds over the next five years. The announcement, made on July 24, marks the first such commitment since Sri Lanka finalized its debt restructuring efforts.
