Denmark has unveiled a new AI supercomputer named Gefion, which is designed to transform the country's AI capabilities. The supercomputer, weighing over 30 tons and larger than a basketball court, features 1,528 H100 GPUs. The project was funded with $100 million from Novo Nordisk, known for its drug Ozempic, and a state-owned fund. Gefion is powered by NVIDIA's DGX SuperPOD technology and aims to advance AI innovation in Denmark. The Danish Centre for AI Innovation played a key role in this initiative.
