Russian billionaire Dmitry Pumpyansky, former chairman of steel pipe maker TMK and a Putin ally, has successfully appealed against EU sanctions. The European Court of General Jurisdiction ruled in favor of Pumpyansky, lifting sanctions imposed on him and his wife. The court determined that the sanctions were no longer valid, leading to their annulment. The decision was published on June 26, 2024. The sanctions were related to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
