The Russian military has reportedly destroyed multiple Ukrainian HIMARS launchers in the Sumy region. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, an Iskander missile strike targeted a HIMARS system that was launching missiles from Ukraine's Sumy region towards a bridge in the city of Lgov, Kursk Region, Russia. Russian sources claim that three HIMARS systems, including M142 HIMARS MLRS, were destroyed within 72 hours, with footage released showing the destruction of two HIMARS launchers in the Miropolye area of Sumy Oblast. The attacks involved the use of Iskander-M missiles and were reportedly guided by Russian UAVs. The footage shows explosions, detonation of ammunition, and the launch of a rocket.
