Oracle Launches Exadata Exascale with Elastic Scaling and 95% Cost Reduction
Jul 11, 2024, 02:23 PM
Oracle has launched the Exadata Exascale, a next-generation cloud data architecture designed to enhance the performance of all Oracle database workloads, including AI and analytics. The new architecture claims to reduce costs by up to 95%, offers elastic scaling, and supports pay-per-use economics. Built with 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors, Exadata Exascale aims to reduce latency and increase throughput for mission-critical database workloads. The launch is seen as a significant move to attract global organizations and CxOs to migrate their on-premises Oracle databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The secret sauce for elasticity always starts with storage, which is a key feature of the Exadata Exascale.
