Mexico to Employ 3,650 Cuban Doctors Amid Opposition

Mexico announced it will employ 3,650 Cuban doctors to address a shortage of medical specialists, particularly in rural and marginalized areas. President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reiterated his gratitude to Cuba for its support. Additionally, Mexico will cover the needs of 282 hospitals in these regions. López Obrador also stated that public hospitals are removing cash registers to eliminate charges for health services and medications, known as 'recovery fees.'
