Intel Launches Core Ultra 200V Lunar Lake Processors with Copilot+ at IFA 2024
Sep 3, 2024, 04:20 PM
Intel has officially launched its Core Ultra 200V series processors, codenamed Lunar Lake, at IFA 2024. These new processors, which are produced by TSMC, promise up to 50 percent lower power consumption and up to 20 hours of battery life. Intel claims that the Core Ultra Series 2 processors are faster and more battery efficient than Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite and AMD's Strix Point chips. The new chips will be featured in laptops from manufacturers like HP and Dell, with the first models set to go on sale on September 24. Additionally, Microsoft's Copilot+ AI features, which were previously exclusive to Qualcomm laptops, will be available on Intel-based devices starting in November. Intel's Jim Johnson stated that the Lunar Lake systems are the most efficient x86 processors ever, shattering the myth that x86 can't achieve long battery life and power efficiency. The new processors also boast a 16% gaming lead and exceptional AI performance.
