Elon Musk Tops U.S. Political Donors, Donates $239M to America PAC, Sole Donor to RBG PAC
Dec 10, 2024, 11:40 PM
Elon Musk emerged as the top U.S. political donor in the 2024 election, contributing significant funds to various political action committees supporting President-elect Donald Trump. According to FEC post-election filings, Musk donated $239 million to America PAC, $20.5 million as the sole donor to RBG PAC, $10 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, and $3 million to MAHA Alliance, among others. During the presidential campaign, Musk's contributions were aimed at reaching Trump voters in the seven most competitive states, which Trump swept. A week after Trump's victory, Musk stated that his political action committee would "play a significant role in primaries." Within Trump's team, there is a belief that Musk not only supports the president-elect's agenda and cabinet appointments but may also pressure Republicans who are less supportive.
