The film, which will be a reboot of the popular 'Scary Movie' franchise, is being produced by Miramax and Paramount. Filming is scheduled to begin next year, with a theatrical release expected in the following year. The Wayans Brothers originally developed the franchise, but they have not been involved since the first sequel.
