White Stripes Sue Donald Trump in Federal Court for Unauthorized Use of 'Seven Nation Army'
Sep 9, 2024, 09:37 PM
Jack White and Meg White of The White Stripes have filed a lawsuit in federal court against former President Donald Trump and his campaign for the unauthorized use of their song 'Seven Nation Army' in a campaign video. The lawsuit, which also names Trump's top aide Margom Martin, accuses the campaign of 'flagrant misappropriation' of the song. Jack White has stated that they attempted to resolve the matter with Trump's campaign but were ignored, leaving them no choice but to sue. The video in question was initially posted on social media platforms, including Instagram and Twitter, and was later deleted following White's complaint. The Whites have referred to Trump as a 'fascist' in their statements.
