American rapper Macklemore has canceled his upcoming concert in Dubai, citing the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) involvement in the Sudanese conflict as the reason. The decision comes in response to pressure from Sudanese activists who have called for a boycott of the UAE due to its alleged support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group involved in the Sudan war. Macklemore stated that his cancellation is an act of solidarity with the people of Sudan, emphasizing his commitment to addressing systemic oppression and humanitarian crises. He has previously been vocal in his support for Palestine and has made significant donations, including a $100,000 donation to UNRWA USA.
