Russia Attacks Ukraine with Over 30 Missiles, Including Kinzhal Hypersonic Missiles

On December 13, 2024, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, targeting energy infrastructure across the country. Air raid alarms were declared nationwide as Russian forces launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea and Tu-95 bombers, as well as hypersonic Kinzhal missiles. Over 30 missiles were reported in Ukrainian airspace, with explosions heard in Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Ukraine's Energy Minister, Herman Halushchenko, confirmed that the energy sector was under a large-scale attack, with power substations targeted, leading to increased power outages. Kyiv residents took shelter in metro stations as air defenses were activated across the country.
