Fei-Fei Li Raises $230 Million for AI Startup World Labs to Advance Spatial Intelligence

Stanford computer scientist and AI pioneer Fei-Fei Li has unveiled a new startup, World Labs, which aims to advance spatial intelligence in AI by teaching systems a deep knowledge of physical reality. The startup has successfully raised $230 million in funding from notable investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Ashton Kutcher, and Nvidia. World Labs plans to push AI beyond text-based capabilities into constructing detailed virtual worlds, leveraging large world models to create immersive experiences. Fei-Fei Li, known for her work on ImageNet, is co-founding the venture with support from RadicalVCFund.
