NBA Finalizes 11-Year, $76 Billion Media Rights Deal with ESPN, NBC, Amazon; TNT May Match
Jul 10, 2024, 11:01 PM
The NBA has finalized an 11-year media rights deal worth $76 billion with ESPN, NBC, and Amazon Prime Video. Under the new agreements, ESPN will retain the rights to broadcast the NBA Finals, while NBC and Amazon will become new partners. All three platforms will air playoff games, with Amazon Prime Video hosting the In-Season Tournament. NBC and Amazon will alternate showing conference finals, and ESPN will broadcast one conference final each season. The deal will commence in the 2025-26 season, featuring nationally televised games nearly every day of the week. TNT retains the right to match the offer and potentially maintain its NBA broadcasting rights. The agreements are expected to be approved by the respective TV network boards, and the deal clears the way for possible expansion opportunities.
