Joe 'Jellybean' Bryant, former NBA player and father of the late Kobe Bryant, has died at the age of 69. Bryant passed away after suffering a stroke. He had a notable basketball career, playing 606 NBA games with the Philadelphia 76ers, San Diego Clippers, and Houston Rockets. He also spent eight seasons playing professionally in Italy. Bryant was a standout player at Bartram High School and La Salle University, and later served as a coach, including a stint with the LA Sparks of the WNBA. His death comes four years after the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of his son Kobe and granddaughter Gigi.
