Shanghai Issues China's First E-Visa, Allows 30-Day Stay

Shanghai Municipality has issued China's first e-visa, marking a significant move in promoting the use of electronic visas. A traveler from Singapore became the first foreign visitor to enter China with the e-visa, passing through the border checkpoint at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. CCTV News reported that the e-visa, trialed for Shanghai's Lingang Special Area, allows a 30-day stay.
