Disney has officially announced that 'The Princess Diaries 3' is in development, with Adele Lim set to direct. Lim, known for her work on 'Crazy Rich Asians,' 'Raya and the Last Dragon,' and 'Joy Ride,' will helm the third installment of the beloved series. Anne Hathaway has confirmed her return to the franchise, reprising her role as Mia Thermopolis, Queen of Genovia. The film is expected to begin shooting next year. Hathaway will also serve as a producer under her Somewhere Pictures banner. This announcement comes 20 years after the release of the second film in the series. Hathaway expressed her excitement, stating, 'Miracles happen.'
