VisitOsmo's smell2vec Technology Enables Computers to Smell
Oct 30, 2024, 11:46 AM
A new technology called smell2vec is giving computers the ability to smell. This innovation, which originated from a project known as NoseBrain under the company Osmo, aims to add smell as a new input modality for computers. The project, which started back in the Good ol' Brain days, has garnered attention for its potential applications, including the possibility of robots being able to smell the world and the creation of smell-o-vision. The technology could lead to advancements such as scanning and printing smells, and even a 'Shazam for scents'.
