A High Court dispute between the operator of the social media platform X and Ireland's Data Protection Commission (DPC) over the use of personal data to train AI systems has been resolved. The Irish data regulator announced that it has ended court proceedings after X, owned by Elon Musk, agreed to permanently limit its use of personal data collected from European Union users for AI training purposes. This agreement specifically addresses the processing of personal information by X to train its artificial-intelligence chatbot Grok.
