Chinese Officials Call for Political Resolution to Palestinian-Israeli Conflict, Urge Humanitarian Aid
Oct 10, 2024, 02:35 AM
Chinese officials have called for an end to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through political will and diplomatic efforts rather than military means. Mao Ning, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry, emphasized the need for major countries to play an objective and just role in resolving the conflict. Fu Cong, China's permanent representative to the United Nations, urged Israel on October 9 to stop weaponizing humanitarian assistance, lift the blockade of Gaza, and cooperate fully with the UN and other humanitarian agencies. China also expressed concern over Israel's smearing and suppression of the UNRWA and the humanitarian situation in Gaza, highlighting the importance of humanitarian aid.
