Take-Two Interactive Sells Private Division Label to Undisclosed Buyer
Nov 6, 2024, 09:15 PM
Take-Two Interactive has confirmed the sale of its Private Division publishing label. CEO Strauss Zelnick explained that the decision was driven by the smaller scale of Private Division's projects, which did not align with Take-Two's focus on creating great big hits. Founded in 2017, Private Division was responsible for games such as The Outer Worlds and Kerbal Space Program 2. The label experienced initial success but later faced challenges, including mass layoffs and studio closures. The buyer of Private Division remains undisclosed.
