India, UK Sign Agreement in Portsmouth for Naval Electric Propulsion Systems

India and the United Kingdom have signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) in Portsmouth on November 28, 2024, to collaborate on the design and development of Electric Propulsion Systems for the Indian Navy. This agreement, part of the third Joint Working Group Meeting of Electric Propulsion Capability Partnership, aims to establish a framework for cooperation in the co-design, co-creation, and co-production of naval electric propulsion systems, promoting indigenous capabilities.
