Germany Sends Leopard Tanks, IRIS-T, and Patriot Launchers to Ukraine in New Military Aid Package

Germany has announced a comprehensive military aid package to Ukraine, which includes a variety of advanced military equipment aimed at bolstering Ukraine's defense capabilities. The package features 15 Leopard 1 A5 tanks, 2 Gepard anti-aircraft systems, 30 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles with mine protection, a PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer, 12 armored vehicles with kinetic defense systems, and 7 Caracal assault jeeps. Additionally, Germany is supplying Ukraine with air defense systems, including one IRIS-T SLM and one IRIS-T SLS system, along with missiles for these systems, two Patriot systems, two Patriot launchers, and two TRML-4D radars. The aid also includes a range of drones such as 30 Vector drones, 24 RQ-35 Heidrun drones, and 14 Hornet XR drones, as well as 52,000 155mm shells and munitions for Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks. This package is part of Germany's ongoing commitment to support Ukraine amidst its conflict with Russia.
