Maïté, French TV's 'Favorite Cook' and Star of 'La Cuisine des Mousquetaires', Dies at 86

French culinary icon Maïté, known as "the favorite cook of the French", has died at the age of 86. Maïté, whose real name was Marie-Thérèse Ordonez, passed away during the night from Friday December 20 to Saturday December 21. As a pioneer of television cooking shows, she became a beloved figure through her program 'La Cuisine des Mousquetaires' on France 3, promoting traditional cuisine from the southwestern region of France. President Emmanuel Macron offered his condolences, stating that Maïté "incarnated the art of being French" and was a source of inspiration for many families.
