SEC Gives Preliminary Approval to BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and VanEck for Spot Ether ETFs Launching July 23
Jul 15, 2024, 07:59 PM
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has given preliminary approval to BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and VanEck for their spot Ether ETFs. Issuers must submit final S-1 filings by July 16, targeting a launch on July 23. This approval is expected to unlock significant institutional investment in Ethereum and potentially other altcoins. The Ethereum price has already surged above $3,400 in anticipation of the ETFs' launch. Major financial players like Fidelity and ARK Investments are also seeking approval. In total, eight issuers are expected to launch their ETFs simultaneously.
