Assamese actress and choreographer Sumi Borah, 29, and her husband, photographer Tarkik Borah, have been detained by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with a massive online stock trading scam. The scam is estimated to be worth at least ₹2,200 crore. After evading arrest for 10 days, the couple surrendered to the police in Dibrugarh. Assam Police Chief GP Singh confirmed that the STF traced the couple to Dibrugarh. Dibrugarh SP VV Rakesh Reddy stated that the STF team handed over the couple to the local police for questioning and that the due legal procedure will be followed.
