E-Cigarette Sales Flourish in India 5 Years After Ban, SIT Investigation Reveals
Sep 7, 2024, 09:37 AM
Five years after the e-cigarette ban in India, the sale of e-cigarettes continues to flourish, according to a SIT investigation by TimesNow. Reports indicate that vapes are easily available in various cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Lucknow, and Mumbai. Investigations revealed that shopkeepers in areas such as Kormangala, Sapru Marg, Rajinder Nagar, Borivali, Janpath Market, and Brigade Road are openly selling e-cigarettes. Despite the ban, these products are being sold near police commissioners' offices and other prominent locations. The investigation highlights the widespread availability and delivery network of vapes, with prices for devices starting at Rs 1200. Additionally, a recent law in Karnataka has banned hookahs.
