Nov 24, 2024, 03:53 PM
A new CBS News/YouGov poll, conducted between November 19 and 22 with a sample size of 2,232 adults, reveals that 59% of Americans approve of President-elect Donald Trump's handling of the presidential transition, while 41% disapprove. The approval includes near-universal support from his voters and net-positive responses regarding his Cabinet selections, notably including Sen. Marco Rubio. Approval spans various demographic groups, with 63% of White voters and 56% of Hispanic voters expressing approval, while 36% of Black voters approve. Among younger adults, 65% of those aged 18-29 and 62% of those aged 30-44 express support for Trump's transition efforts. The poll indicates that Americans are optimistic about Trump's incoming administration as he fills out most of his top administration roles during a recent flurry of Cabinet announcements.
