VisitRobinhood Relists SOL, ADA, XRP After SEC Delisting, Adds PEPE to U.S. Crypto Offerings
Nov 13, 2024, 01:56 PM
Robinhood Markets Inc. has expanded its cryptocurrency offerings for U.S. customers by relisting Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), and XRP, and adding the memecoin PEPE to its platform. This expansion brings the total number of cryptocurrencies available for trading on Robinhood Crypto to 19. The company had previously delisted SOL in June 2023 after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission classified it as a security. At that time, Robinhood sold users' SOL holdings at $17 each and refunded them in USD instead of allowing withdrawals. Since then, SOL's price has surged to $212, meaning users missed significant gains. The relisting of these cryptocurrencies signals a renewed commitment by Robinhood to broaden its crypto offerings despite ongoing regulatory concerns.
