Grace Brown has claimed Australia's first gold medal at the Paris Olympics, winning the women's road cycling individual time trial. Brown, a 32-year-old athlete, completed the 32.4-kilometer race in 39:38.24 minutes, defeating Britain's Anna Henderson who took silver, and American Chloe Dygert who secured the bronze. Dygert, the reigning time trial world champion, managed to finish third despite crashing midway through the race in wet conditions. This victory marks Australia's first medal of the Games.
