North Korea Deploys 250 Hwasong-11D Missile Launchers with 300 km Range Near DMZ, Signaling Tactical Nuclear Shift
Jan 8, 2025, 01:02 AM
North Korea has reportedly begun deploying 250 Hwasong-11D ballistic missile transporter-erector-launchers (TELs) to frontline units near the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Each TEL is equipped with four canisters and has an operational range of approximately 300 kilometers. This deployment is significant as it marks the first time a nuclear-capable system has been assigned to the Korean People's Army (KPA) Ground Force, indicating a potential shift towards tactical nuclear capabilities. The South Korean Defense Intelligence Agency has confirmed the movement of these systems, which are assessed to be nuclear-capable.
