French, German Ministers Meet Syria's New Leader Ahmed al-Sharaa Under EU Mandate

The foreign ministers of France and Germany, Jean-Noël Barrot and Annalena Baerbock, respectively, have arrived in Damascus to meet with Ahmed al-Sharaa, the leader of Syria's new government. The visit is conducted under the mandate of the European Union, with both ministers expressing a desire to support a peaceful transition in Syria for the benefit of its people and regional stability.
