Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has announced the completion of its acquisition of Dutch cryptocurrency broker Coin Meester B.V. (BCM) on 2024-09-24. This move significantly boosts Kraken's presence in the European market, particularly in the Netherlands, France, and Poland. Additionally, Kraken has hired Natasha Powell as its new U.K. compliance head. The acquisition of BCM, one of the Netherlands' oldest registered crypto brokers, allows Kraken to offer Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) services directly or through partnerships in Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, and France.
