Russia Submits Bill to Remove Taliban From Terrorist List, Putin Government Promises Action

Russia is moving forward with the process of removing the Taliban from its list of terrorist organizations. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko stated that the country does not intend to halt or delay this process, which will be conducted gradually. A high-level Russian delegation recently held discussions with senior Taliban officials in Kabul, signaling ongoing diplomatic engagement. Furthermore, a bill has been officially submitted to the Russian State Duma to formalize the removal of the Taliban from the list of banned organizations in Russia. The Taliban remains under UN sanctions for terrorist activities. The Putin government has promised to remove the Taliban from the list.
