IDF Rescues Four Israeli Hostages from Gaza After Eight Months
Jun 8, 2024, 11:53 AM
In a daring rescue operation, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) successfully freed four Israeli hostages from Hamas captivity in Gaza. The hostages, Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40), were held for eight months after being abducted during the October 7 Nova music festival. The operation, conducted in daylight, involved IDF, ISA, Israeli Police, and IDF Special Forces, and took place in Nuseirat, central Gaza. The hostages were rescued from two separate locations and were transported to Sheba Hospital in central Israel. All four hostages are reported to be in good medical condition. The rescue mission faced heavy resistance from Hamas reinforcements, resulting in significant casualties. Noa Argamani, who became a symbol of the hostages, was reunited with her father on his birthday. Noa's mother, suffering from terminal brain cancer, had been pleading for her daughter's return. The operation underscores Israel's commitment to rescuing its citizens, with 119 hostages still remaining in Hamas captivity.
