12,000 North Korean Troops, Including Special Forces, Deployed to Russia: South Korean Spy Agency
Oct 18, 2024, 09:57 AM
South Korea's spy agency has reported that North Korea has deployed troops and military equipment to Russia, posing a significant security threat. According to the National Intelligence Service of South Korea, over 12,000 North Korean troops, including about 1,500 special forces soldiers, have left the country, forming into four combat brigades believed to be training in eastern Russia. These troops have reportedly been transported by Russian military vessels, have received Russian military uniforms, arms, fake Russian identification, and are expected to be deployed to the front lines after training and adjustment. North Korean missile technical officers are actively assisting Russia on the frontlines, supporting the use of North Korean missiles. Additionally, North Korea has sent artillery shells, anti-tank rockets, and ballistic missiles to Russia. Satellite images released by Seoul's spy agency purportedly show the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia.
