Terrence Shannon Jr., a star basketball player for the University of Illinois, has been acquitted of all charges in his rape trial in Douglas County, Kansas. The trial saw testimony from the accuser, her best friend, and a second-team All-American player from the University of Kansas. Shannon, who was indefinitely suspended by Illinois in December and missed six games, was charged with felony rape and felony sexual aggravated battery. The jury found him not guilty, allowing Shannon to resume his pre-draft process for the NBA, where he is projected to be a top-25 pick.
