Sep 25, 2024, 05:34 PM
Meta has unveiled its latest AI models, Llama 3.2, at Meta Connect 2024. The new series includes lightweight models of 1B and 3B parameters designed for edge devices, as well as larger multimodal models of 11B and 90B parameters that can understand both images and text. These models are open-source and are said to rival leading closed models in performance. Llama 3.2 aims to simplify development for developers and enterprises through the Llama Stack and is available for download now. Meta's new models outperform most open and closed multimodal models on industry benchmarks and are positioned to compete with offerings from Anthropic and OpenAI. The series also includes powerful vision models.
