VisitTelefónica, KKR, Entel End Peru Fiber Deal Worth Over 200 Million
Nov 29, 2024, 03:15 PM
Telefónica, KKR, and Entel have terminated their joint agreement to establish a fiber-optic subsidiary in Peru. The agreement, which involved the creation of a wholesale operator under the name Pangea, was intended to expand the fiber-optic network in the region. The partnership, initially formed over a year ago, aimed to double the fiber-optic network in Peru with more than 200 million in investment at stake. This decision marks the dissolution of a collaboration between Telefónica and KKR, which have historically been stable partners, and involves the Chilean operator Entel.
