Mohamed Salah to Leave Liverpool at Season's End, Aims for Premier League Title

Mohamed Salah, the 32-year-old Egyptian forward for Liverpool, has confirmed that the 2024-2025 season will be his last with the club. His contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he has expressed a strong desire to win the Premier League title before departing. Salah, who has been in exceptional form this season with 17 goals and 13 assists in 18 Premier League games, emphasized the importance of achieving something special for the city of Liverpool in his final year. He noted that the team's previous Premier League win in 2020 was marred by the inability to celebrate due to the coronavirus pandemic. Salah's motivation is driven by the wish to leave a lasting legacy alongside teammates like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, and Andy Robertson, all of whom are also out of contract at the end of the season. Despite ongoing contract negotiations, Salah stated that there has been no progress in the last six months, and a deal remains 'far away.'
