Trump Gains Historic 45% Hispanic Support in 2024 NBC Exit Polls
Nov 6, 2024, 02:01 AM
Preliminary results from the U.S. national exit poll indicate significant shifts in voter demographics for the 2024 presidential election. Donald Trump has garnered 45% of Hispanic voters, a 13-point increase from his 2020 performance, and 54% of Hispanic male voters, an 18-point increase. According to the NBC Exit Poll, Latino men are breaking for Trump by a 10-point margin (54-44), whereas in 2020, Biden won this group by a 23-point margin (59-36). Trump also secured 20% of Black male voters, up 1 point from 2020, while Kamala Harris won 78%. Among Black voters overall, Trump maintained a 12% share, unchanged from 2020, with Harris winning 86%. These results suggest Trump is on track for the highest Hispanic support ever for a GOP presidential candidate, surpassing George W. Bush's 2004 share.
