Trump Surpasses Biden in Fundraising with $235M to $212M
Jun 23, 2024, 03:04 PM
Former President Donald Trump has surpassed President Joe Biden in fundraising, eroding Biden's financial edge. Trump now holds $235 million across his shared accounts with the RNC, compared to Biden's $212 million with the DNC. This marks a significant shift, as Biden had a $100 million cash advantage at the beginning of April. Reports indicate that Biden's allies are publicly downplaying Trump's fundraising success, but privately, some donors are concerned. This development comes as Biden's biggest fundraisers see their advantage vanish for the first time in the general election campaign. Additionally, Trump’s momentum has been building even before the Bragg conviction. As of Thursday night, Trump and the RNC were sitting on $116.5 million in cash.
