Arbitrum Launches Stylus on Mainnet, Expanding Developer Base to 15 Million with Renegade
Sep 4, 2024, 08:51 AM
Arbitrum has launched Stylus on its mainnet, a new product designed to enhance the capabilities of its blockchain ecosystem. Stylus allows developers to create more powerful and efficient applications, leveraging languages such as Rust, C, and C++. This launch significantly expands the developer base for Arbitrum from approximately 30,000 to 15 million. Stylus is also compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) contracts, allowing for seamless integration with existing blockchain infrastructure. The first application powered by Stylus, Renegade, has also been launched, offering fully-private trading with zero MEV, slippage, or price impact. This marks a significant step forward for decentralized finance (DeFi) by introducing onchain dark pools, which are a common feature in traditional finance. OffchainLabs, the team behind Stylus, has facilitated over 4M transactions on the mainnet.
