Official report from Delhi Government or PWD department
Delhi Government to Inspect and Repair 1,400 km of Roads on War Footing
Sep 29, 2024, 09:22 AM
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has announced a comprehensive inspection and repair initiative for the city's roads. Starting tomorrow at 6 AM, all ministers of the Delhi government, along with MLAs and PWD engineers, will begin inspecting every meter of the 1,400 km of PWD roads in Delhi. This initiative follows a letter from former CM and AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal to CM Atishi regarding stalled works. The inspection aims to address the issue of potholes and the collapsed public transport system in Delhi. A meeting with all ministers was held at the Delhi Secretariat to discuss the stalled works and the upcoming road repairs, which will be conducted on a war footing.
