Google DeepMind has celebrated the first graduates from the AI for Science Master’s program at AIMS South Africa. The program, launched last year in partnership with AIMS and supported by @googleafrica, provided full scholarships, equipment, and compute resources to students, enabling them to pursue advanced studies in AI, mathematics, and machine learning. The initiative aimed to empower a new generation of African talent to tackle scientific challenges using cutting-edge AI technologies. The program featured contributions from dozens of visiting lecturers and supervisors, emphasizing the importance of education in driving global change.
